Waaasssssupppp fleeties,
Lately many on HIS has tried to change the game to their liking and whining, well here's an official response I gott today from a fleet member Nemke regarding bombing activity. So do what you must or think that it's right. Christmas is round the corner, so polish your Hell Boy and share them with those whining too much about it.
*********************************************************************************
If you believe everything random people say you are going to live quite an unfortunate life :). I've stated, multiple times, in news articles no less specifically titled about bombing, that I'm not punishing people for doing so.
I merely think it is tacky.
So I would request when people tell you I said something, demand they give you the evidence :).

Well something to tickle you today, I happened to see Canadiancanuck post his entry for Rico's Rampage only to find it a joke. Here's my reply to his entry.
Canadiancanuck,
Your video is awesome, 41 secs and 4 kills in total. Great job. Here's the stats to your video
1st kill was at 8 min 14 sec
2nd kill was at 7 min 56 sec
3rd kill was at 7 min 54 sec
4th kill was at 7 min 46 sec.
So are you submitting your entry of 10 secs? Your 1st and 2nd kill didn't make the cut. The requirement is 10 secs between kills, the kill notice stays up for a good 5 secs (inclusive). So your video would be a 30 sec entry? 8 min 06 sec to 7 min 36 sec. 20 secs is actually extra.. giving you 10 sec before your first kill and another 10 seconds after your last kill as buffer.
Technically this is more a 10 sec entry. It should be good for Rico's Step, Skip and Hop Event .. not Rico's Rampage.
Rico's Step, Skip and Hop Event
This is a fleet event scheduled for Saturday. Hopefully we will have enough participants within our own fleet to have this event. Kindly refer below for details.
Saturday Survival Series
Friday Fleet Fighter Showdown
Have Mercy
It was noon, so everyone was out on a patrol, only the mechanics and Mileta were left at the base. I did not talk much with them, except on rare occasions.
“How is my FW190D looking?” I asked the mechanic.
“Oh! Um…it is looking good sir! It is a superior machine and…” The mechanic started.
“Okay, thank you.” I cut him off.
“Um…alright have a good day sir.” The mechanic said and hurried away.
I drank some coffee with Mileta, she was a nice woman, and heard of my loss, and she listened to my stories of Sarah. She listened intently as I told her the story of how I was captured and rescued by Bujias! Her eyes were filled with pride, but as I finished my story with Sarah being captured, they quickly filled with sadness. I started to tear up, and Mileta didn’t say anything, just comforted me with a presence of someone who cares. I felt like she was sort of my older sister, someone you can trust when it really counts.
“King…one day you will meet her again. The world works in such a way that if you really want something…you will get it!” Mileta said encouragingly.
I remained silent and gave a smile to her, as the boys walked in back from a mission. They all gave me a nod and smiled to Mileta, then went to their respective rooms. Bujias came and hugged Mileta and put a hand on my shoulder.
“Hey man…you helped me when I thought I was lost…now I’m going to take you to this meeting, everyone is going…many different fleets are supposed to be there as well!” Bujias said.
“Thanks Buji, but I think I will pass…” I said.
“No way, you are coming for sure, if I’m going who’s going to drag your drunk JUNK IN THE TRUNK back to your room?” Bujias said straight-faced.
That drew a laugh from me, and Buji and Mileta smiled.
“The meeting area is not too far from here, about 2 hour flight?” Bujias said.
“Alright let’s go! I am sick of not being in the air.” I replied.
Everyone packed lightly and we flew in formation towards the meeting area. I loved the feel of the FW190D; it felt like an extension of my body. Many of us had new planes, a gift from the leaders of Germany because of our strength in battle. Bujias had a rather ugly plane I thought! But I was in no mood to tell jokes so I kept it to myself.
We had finally arrived at the staging area! I looked around and recognized many fleets, although every single one of them was now diminished in size! Also I spotted some haughty, new unfamiliar pilots, but they looked like veterans, and gave us looks. We ignored them and continued to walk to our dormitory.
The meeting started, it was quite boring, and I almost fell asleep quite a few times. Bujias was beside me, leaning on Mileta and snoring quietly. Leviathan was paying close attention, though I thought he was faking it. The only person who seemed to care was BK. Then the discussion heated up.
“You don’t command BBB…I do…you need us…give us respect…” BK said.
“You BBB think your all high and mighty! You are a bunch of cowards afraid to fight directly with the top Allied!” yelled the pilot giving us looks from before.
“Who are you to speak? I have never even heard of your accomplishments, nor from your fleet!” Bujias spat back.
Some of them ran at us, but other fleets quickly stopped them. The meeting dissolved and I stared hard at the man who called us cowards. Later that evening, Bujias took Mileta and me to the bar. There we found the brash man preaching as we approached behind him…
“…And this King! He is a coward! Why does everyone talk so highly about him? I heard after his little mascot was taken away, he cried for a week!” He proclaimed.
“Hahaha…” His fleet members laughed. Other fleets looked at my way as I approached to hear more clearly…
“That Sarah though…oh yeah! She was one hot girl! But who cries for a girl! For crying out loud! Haha!” He yelled.
By now I was standing behind this man. Mileta was in shock wondering what was going to happen. Bujias had an aura of righteous anger. His fleet members quieted and had a look of fear in their eyes. The man stopped laughing and turned around.
“You coward…prove to me you can even speak about Sarah!” I yelled.
“What are you going to do about it?” The man taunted, though clearly shaken.
“Tomorrow…we fight a duel in our planes.” I offered.
“Hey…I was just…” The man started.
“Shut up. If you refuse everyone will know that you are afraid.” I said.
“My name is…” He started…
I turned away and Bujias spat on the floor. Everyone looking at us as we left. Mileta hurried after us…
Mileta
What the hell was going on? Is he even allowed to duel men on his own side? Questions were running through my head as I walked quickly behind King and Bujias. They entered a private room, and Bujias asked me to give them a minute. I understood and went to Bujias’ room.
After more than a minute, Bujias finally came into the room. I looked at him, the anger gone from him; he seemed to have solved the problem.
“Hey everything okay?” I asked.
“It will be…once King shoots that bastard down.” Bujias replied.
“Does he really have to fight? What if he loses? I like that man greatly…” I said.
“Haha…lose? Mileta my love, he will not, unless through sabotage or some sort.” Bujias replied.
“How can you be so confident…” I asked innocently enough.
“I have flown with King hundreds of times, I don’t tell him, but honestly there are not many that can say they are better than him.” Bujias said.
“Is this even allowed?” I demanded.
“Probably not…but if the man has any sort of pride he will duel.” Bujias replied.
“This Sarah…she is that important to him?” I asked.
“Yes…many people are fond of her, she was sort of my little sister I guess…I miss her presence here, you two would have been good friends I am sure.” Bujias rambled.
Bujias went to sleep with an arm over me, he snored. I found this more amusing than annoying. Yet, I still could not sleep, King was fighting a duel with his own side tomorrow… Isn’t anyone else nervous? I had read the papers…some of it must be true.
The next morning, I ran to the hangar and looked at King’s FW190D plane. It was gorgeous. Like a well balanced sword. It did not look like anything was wrong with it. Also there were guards here, no one would be able to touch it, especially such a prized plane. There were rumours about the duel going around fleets. Even the commanders knew about it, but they did not interfere. I was confused about the way these men worked.
I went to go talk to King. I knocked on his door and slowly entered. I saw BK talking with him, explaining in motions with his hands about something…
“Hello Mileta…” BK said.
“Oh! Hi…sorry! I will wait.” I said surprised.
“No…come in…” BK invited.
“Alright.” I said as I walked in the room.
“Bujias told me, you worry for me.” King said.
“Oh did he…well it is just that…how can you know you will win?” I blurted out.
“Don’t worry about me…what comes first is yourself…than Bujias.” King said avoiding the question.
BK shook his hand, and I gave him a long hug. I did not know him well, but I knew he needed some sort of affection. He blushed and walked towards the hangar. I ran and followed him with Bujias. He geared up, checked the engine, and saluted us. I waited for him to return…
Sarah
I was going to take a plane soon all the way through Russia to the U.S. All I could think of was what King was doing. There was a hole in my heart, and I knew it was mutual. I missed him so much…but I did not know if he would heed my warnings to him…somehow I feared that I had brought the best of him out…but now I brought the worst as well.
I looked out the window, and decided I was going to take a walk. Paragon accompanied me, I knew him best as I helped nurse him back to full strength. We walked in silence, among the trees and on the dirt road. I did not know what to say for once… But I knew that Paragon understood and said nothing as well. We walked for some while, and when we got back to the base…there was a commotion happening outside!
They were pointing in the sky! I squinted and saw two planes coming from opposite directions. Everyone was exclaiming a duel was about to happen! Paragon grabbed binoculars and looked.
“They are both Axis planes!” He exclaimed.
“What?” I said as my heart trembled.
I looked through the focals, and I looked in disbelief…it was King! They were circling each other. I became nervous and watched intently. Why was he fighting his own people? I told him not to be rash… Oh God!
Then I saw King’s plane do a dive! His opponent dove towards him, but King was already a step ahead and rose again and turned on a dime! My heart was pounding, and I knew King could end the duel right there! I waited for a blazing gun and a plane on fire...
But what I saw shocked me! I saw King shoot his opponent’s plane just enough so that it would stay afloat. Emptiness filled me, as I knew King was filled with hate. I saw him rise up and down shooting his opponent into a mewling wreck of steel. All of Wolfpak and HammerDown looked in silence towards the man they thought was honourable to them, but yet cruel to his own.
“End it King! End it!” Paragon whispered anxiously.
This was not even a fair duel; this was murder, an execution. Tears fell down my face as King showed no mercy. I closed my eyes, hoping for it to end. But it dragged on… Finally his opponent had lost all hope…and his machine could no longer fly. It was a smoking, fiery mess, and King could have made it quick, but instead he followed the plane all the way down… Then it crashed into thousands of pieces. Then King flew away, like some monster from a children’s story.
I looked around and saw everyone’s expressions, all surprised. No one spoke, and I cried and ran to my assigned room. I knew he needed me…somehow I knew this was because of me… I sobbed, and looked at a picture of him and me in his arms with a radiating smile. Where was the real King?
Mileta
I waited for quite a while and got worried…where was he? Bujias told me there was nothing to fear, and went to the common room. But I waited for the man who brought me Bujias. I looked out into the distance, and there I saw him! The plane got closer…and closer.
It landed smoothly, and I saw with disbelief that his plane did not even have a bullet hole in it.
“Did you fight him?” I asked.
“Yes…killed him.” King said.
“Oh…I’m happy that you won, I bet you are tired, you should get some rest…” I offered.
“Yeah, I will see you later Mileta…” King said as he walked to his room. I sensed that something had been resolved within him. Yet there was still something dark looming about him.
I ran to the common room with Bujias, BK, Leviathan, and some other members of BBB. They were playing some cards and chatting.
“King won the duel!” I exclaimed as everyone looked to me.
No one expressed surprise, just a few words of “I told you so”. But inside I knew they were all relieved of some sort. Then they continued playing their game and talking as if nothing happened.
“Has the time to duel…can’t even buy my car back…” Leviathan murmured as he flipped his newspaper page.
“Just hope he doesn’t get tried in court martial…it was a fair fight…to some sort…if everyone keeps their mouth shut it will be fine…” BK said to everyone.
King
I woke up. I felt badly about yesterday, but the man had it coming. I did not even figure his name out… What else I felt though, was that I now knew I still defended Sarah, like she was here. Damnit! I thought to myself, I should have controlled my emotions better… I had to return to a calm. I had to stay alive somehow; I needed to win the war. I know Sarah is waiting for me… What would she think if she knew about the fight?
There was a knocking on my door. I looked through to see some Military Police. I opened the door.
“Can I help you?” I asked.
“King…come peacefully with us, you are being tried for treason.” One of them said.
“What! I did nothing wrong…” I replied.
“Please pack your bags, and come with us…” The man said.
I listened, and followed their instructions. I knew my duelers’ fleet had reported me. This was just a waste of time…I needed to fight the real enemy, now I knew what my goal was.
NOTE: Hope you enjoyed! Been holding this one for while…not sure why lol. Post comments here
King of the Skies - Chapter 9
I looked out onto the open space near the airfield. It was summer once again! I inhaled the air, and there was a pleasant earthy smell to it. Many of the BBB were sitting outside on their lawn chairs and relaxing. There had been no emergency calls the entire day, so we had lots of lax time. I didn’t mind. Others did. Many looked at me and I knew they were thinking what a bad role model I was to new pilots. The BigBadBoys were what they want us and also not want us to be. On the fighting side of things, we were still at fight with Wolfpak, although they did not come in force as much as they used to. Instead it was a mix of Wolfpak and HammerDown. The fleet was still stationed on the Eastern Front. Anyone else who tried to fight us was spared no mercy. I knew had I shot down Paragon that other day, maybe hundreds would have been alive today. That thought ate at my mind every time we got reports of another defeat handed by the Pak and her allies.
Everyone was having a good time at the base, cooking their favourite meals, bargaining some items from each other, and playing card games. I was sitting with Bujias playing a card game, while Sarah watched.
“Damn it King! You are a cheat man! I know it!” Bujias said as he stood up and hit the table.
“You are just bad at the game, haha.” I replied.
“Tell me your secret and I won’t tell anyone, please.” Bujias said.
“Come closer, no one can hear this…” I said.
Bujias came close with his ear towards me…and I whispered.
“It is…” I said slowly.
Then I pushed his head down and he fell with a crash onto the floor! I started to run and he chased me with a menacing grin. I out ran him and suddenly he dropped to his knees and started to cry! Everyone stopped doing their activities, and looked. I ran over quickly to his side.
“Hey Buji! What’s wrong?” I asked.
“It is that…you are better than me! I am going to die King! I can’t keep up with the rest.” He sobbed.
I looked down sadly at my friend, I felt empty inside as I watched a proud man reduced to tears. I helped him up and Sarah walked with him and me back inside, while the others stared us all the way in.
“Bujias what is wrong?” Sarah asked.
“I don’t know…I just broke down I guess.” Bujias replied.
“Bujias…when we fly, you can’t think of those things, I can die as easily as anyone else, you are a household name in Germany. People can’t see you like this!” I said.
“King…” Sarah said.
“No, no…Sarah he is right.” Bujias said as he looked at the floor.
“Do you need some time off?” Sarah asked, while I looked away while she said so.
“The fleet…Wolfpak…HammerDown…” Bujias started.
“Don’t worry I will ask BK for you.” Sarah said.
I remained silent, a little disappointed.
“King you go with Bujias to, have some fun.” Sarah said.
“Alright…” I replied, “Where will you be?”
“I’ll stay here and help cooking and cleaning, I’ll be fine, BK is here as well.” Sarah said.
Sarah asked BK for a leave. He hesitated and saw Sarah’s pleading eyes.
“I’m getting soft…okay you guys can go…only one week maximum!” BK said.
“Thank you BK! You have been very helpful to me!” Sarah said as BK flushed and then shooed us out of the office.
I packed some clothes, and Bujias did the same, although he did not look very excited. We were lent the Mercedes by Leviathan, and I kissed Sarah good-bye.
“Hey guys…one scratch and I will kill you! But be back…we will need you in the fights soon.” Leviathan said as he gave us the keys.
We started towards the heartland of Germany. We passed many troops, and when they figured out who we were, they crowded us and asked for autographs! We had become like celebrities among the German people! After being stopped so many times, we started to drive on less known roads to our destination. I thought that Bujias would enjoy the attention, but he ignored it.
“Hey King, you got family in Germany?” Bujias asked.
“Yeah…my mom, that’s it. My father abandoned us. Luckily my mom is rich so we were well off.” I said bluntly.
“Oh I see…well my family was the average one, a brother, mom and dad.” Bujias said.
“Let’s drop by one time during our visit, I would like to see if your brother looks like you!” I joked.
“Oh, he sure does, but he was one of the few that died during the blitz in France…” He said.
We continued the conversation all the way to Berlin. And we stopped into our hotel. Everything was luxurious.
“Hey King, I want to get drunk man, I feel like an ROCKET SCIENTIST because I cried in front of everyone, haha.” Bujias laughed.
“Yeah, haha, you little beaner, cried like you were 5 years old! Haha!” I laughed.
We laughed all the way into the local bar. We entered and it was a good-looking, small, cozy, place, it felt like home. We took a seat and waited for the waitress. Then she came…a striking, beautiful woman! The only thing was that she was a little too short for my standard. I looked at Bujias whose mouth was just hanging like a vine rope.
“Hi…my name is Mileta.” She said.
Bujias
“Hi…my name is Mileta, can I take your order?” She said.
“Hey my name is King.” King said, “Bring the best stuff you have please.”
“My name is Bujias!” I blurted out.
There was an awkward silence. I flushed bright red and looked away. I risked a peek at Mileta and she was also flushed bright red. She quickly scurried away to get our drinks.
“You like her?” King asked.
“Yeah man…your going to have to sleep somewhere else tonight haha.” I replied.
“Alright…I’m out of here.” King said as he abruptly left.
Damn it I thought to myself. I am going to get drunk by myself I guess. Might be the last time, all those stinking Allied pilots are getting better and come in masses. There was no one else but the bartender, Mileta, and I in the bar. I kept on drinking, and told Mileta how beautiful she was every other second. I cried my soul out to these two strangers, who were now my friends! They knew who I was now, and who King was. Mileta looked at me admiringly, and I loved it. She listened intently to all my worries and I knew she really cared for me. By midnight I was completely drunk and needed to get back to the hotel.
“Mileta, help me to my hotel please!” I laughed.
“Oh Bujias…fine…since you are so sweet.” Mileta replied.
“You are like no women I have met before. Do you really care for me?” I asked.
“Let’s just go, your making me embarrassed.” Mileta said.
Mileta held me upright while we walked to the hotel. I knew she was a little older than me, she was much shorter than I, and we were an awkward couple. I had a feeling she liked me as well. I kissed her hand and begged her to come inside.
“Bujias…come see me when you’re not drunk! I live and work at bar…come visit me.” Mileta said.
“Damn it! I will do so!” I said with a frown.
This I was rewarded with a kiss on the cheek and I laughed and said good-bye. Mileta was something else. King was already sleeping, so I got a cup of water and splashed it on his face.
“What the hell!” King yelled.
“Haha…” I giggled.
“Leave me alone please.” King said as he put the blanket on his head.
“Hey King…I know why you fight so well now. You have something to fight for…something to come back to every fight…Sarah, you can live for something or die for nothing…King you’re a good guy, but I am better, haha.” I said, but King was already asleep.
I woke to frightening sound. A cracking, rumbling, and groan. I had a humongous headache. King was yelling at me to get up and get to the basement.
“The Allies are bombing Berlin!” King yelled over the noise.
“Oh my God…I need to get Mileta, that bar will get destroyed!” I thought out loud.
I ran out the door, and King yelled at me to get back. I did not look back once…
I ran to the bar quickly, tripped a couple times as I could not see straight. Bombs were getting closer to this area. I ran inside…
“Mileta! It’s me, Bujias!” I yelled over the racket.
“Bujias? I am here!” Mileta yelled.
“Let’s go! This place won’t survive a single bomb!” I replied.
We ran out the door and ran to the hotel. King opened the door for us and told us to run faster. We got in safely and into the bomb shelter. We sat in the shelter quietly as if we talked the bombs would get to us…
Eventually we heard machine gun fire, and I ran outside quickly! We were fighting back! King yelled for me again to get back inside, but I went into the middle of the street and started cheering and whooping for all I cared. Then a fighter escort saw me and started towards me! I ran and looked back in horror. I looked at King who was in complete shock. I knew I wouldn’t make it…I’m sorry King…Mileta, I knew we were meant for each other, at least I knew who my true love was before I died…I ran as I heard the bullets start to kick up behind me…
King
The world was in slow motion. I looked out and saw Bujias running, and I knew he wouldn’t make it. Mileta cried beside me. The bullets were about to reach Bujias…he gave a sad smile…
Then came screaming from nowhere was a FW190D! The pilot flew in a way I knew no other could…It was Chinko! Chinko shot the unsuspecting plane down in a merciless burst. The pilot had no idea what hit him. I was stunned and saw Chinko flying in a circle above us. I saluted and waved, and it was returned as Chinko realized it was I. Chinko then flew away…
“Haha that bastard dog! He must have been out in the sun for too long! Thinking he could have killed me…no honour.” Bujias joked.
“You are either brave or really INTELLIGENT!” I said shocked.
“Bujias! Never do that again! Please!” Mileta begged as she hugged Bujias tightly.
“Not now…when I have you to fight for.” Bujias said confidently.
Mileta blushed, and I smiled, as I knew the dark Bujias passed away once again. I thought now it was time to get back to the front…
We returned after two days. We were given instructions that we have been pushed back so a new base was set up. We drove back with Mileta in Bujias’ arms. I was excited to see Sarah once again, I truly missed her, and wanted to be in her arms again. We arrived with smiles.
“Haha, we are back and going to win the war now that I am back!” Bujias boasted.
“Where’s Sarah? Doesn’t she know I would come back today?” I asked. I immediately knew something was wrong as everyone looked away.
“King…come to my office…you as well Levi and Buji…” BK said.
“Tell me where is Sarah!” I demanded.
“In the office…” BK said.
I agreed, and we went to his office. Bujias and me had no idea what was happening, but Leviathan had a grim face.
“King…they raided our base…we were warned that planes were approaching…We went to meet them in full force…Of course Sarah was to be left on the ground…what we didn’t know was that the Allies knew what this base was…the BBB fleet’s stomping ground…they sent in a small ground force…and…they captured Sarah.” BK said, “They allowed her to leave a note, so they were not barbarians…”
I was in shock. I did not cry. I was immediately filled with red rage. Head to toes I was about to burst. I kept it inside, although I was visibly shaking with anger. I had been given a taste of the sweetest candy, and then it was taken away. I grabbed the letter from BK and left the room. Bujias tried to accompany me back, but I pushed him away.
I entered my room full of rage. Then I broke down and cried. I opened the letter. Tears dropping on to the already wet letter, falling in place with Sarah’s tears.
To: King
King, do not fight rashly please, Paragon and Yager have promised me passage back to the United States. Please look for me, I know you will survive; I know you will find me. All this wasn’t fake. Fate had placed me into your arms; they will put me back into them. I truly love you, and always will.
Love, Sarah.
I was sobbing, and the part of my heart that was Sarah’s love filled with hate. I had been given the taste of the sweetest honey, and it had been taken away from me. I had lost my greatest victory. The tall, slight figure, the light, brown, sweet smelling hair, the sharp features, beautiful eyes, the caring heart, the listening ears…I knew I would never see it again…
NOTE: Inspiration from BK, Leviathan, and the person Sarah is based off. Comments, questions, anything leave in this post thanks!
King of the Skies - Chapter 8
Realism
We had possibly assembled the greatest fleet ever. Thanks to BK, the Axis could face the juggernaut named Wolfpak. I watched the common room full of heroes all having a good time. I smiled as almost everyone got along together, for the respect for each other’s accomplishments were high. BK was telling advice and such to a group of pilots. While Bujias was being his normal self, telling stories and laughing his infectious laugh. Everyone is all smiles and having fun. Cool and Boobiez were the eccentrics of our fleet and always entertained when we were bored. BK then hushed everyone silent and started.
“Tomorrow we fly out to North Soviet Union.” He said.
“We are going after Wolfpak?” Zapeta asked.
“If they show, yes.” BK replied.
“Let’s show them wolves are nothing compared to lions!” Cool yelled over the murmuring.
Everyone cheered at this and everyone was excited. Sarah excused herself and went somewhere. I was puzzled as she looked very upset, but I ignored this for the meanwhile.
“Let’s show those stinking Soviets that their “gods” can bleed!” Bujias roared, the men cheered in response.
“This may decide the war in my opinion…imagine the morale boost or decrease if either side were to win over the other?” BK said.
“We must fly carefully, don’t underestimate them, it will be a fight with intensity that one mistake can kill you.” I said coldly.
This quieted the room. Everyone realized now that this was a fight of skill and talent and all, which you could muster together. Going toe to toe with a monster whose destruction cannot be gauged. BK had been studying reports on how each of the Pak members fought, and gave us the strategy…every hero listened.
Our plan was simple. We were not to fight Wolfpak to the last man. All we had to do was provide the much needed morale boost. BK said if we were to fight to the last man, surely only one man would live at the end of the day. He also was afraid if the other rising fleet, HammerDown, would appear and sweep us away. They would outnumber us greatly if they were to come to the fight, and they were no pushovers, so we could not risk staying in fight for too long. Another fleet were to meet our pursuers so we could get away, an ambush of some sorts.
I walked back to my room with Bujias; we were both excited in some sorts for the next day. We grasped hands and said our goodnights. Then I entered the room with Sarah looking outside the window…
Sarah
I turned around and saw King enter the room. I smiled sadly at him and motioned for him to sit beside me. He came over and sat.
“Hey what’s wrong Sarah? You look upset.” King asked.
“King…don’t do this mission…please” I said weakly.
“Sarah, don’t be scared. I have flown out a hundred times safely back to you.” King said with an assuring smile.
“This is Wolfpak! They are skilled, confident, and they are a team!” I said.
“…Do you think I will lose? To leave you alone here? Never, as long as I have you to fly back to.” King said.
I blushed and turned away. These men. How could they be so full of themselves? Where a mistake could kill them in the air. They are truly giants of my time.
“Just fly safely! And for God’s sake stop bringing that pistol every time you fly!” I said quickly.
“Haha…you’re right, I don’t know why I bring that thing now. I mean I survived that other time (Bujias had unloaded King’s pistol secretly, I owed that beaner King!).” King replied.
“Oh…and keep Bujias and BK close, they are like my older brothers to me now I guess…” I said sheepishly.
“Will do! I need some sleep really badly…” King almost asked.
“Alright, let’s sleep, you need the rest for tomorrow…” I said as I turned off the lamp and King wrapped his arm around me.
I had nothing to worry about right? This was King, a killer, murderer, ace, hero, and beloved. I filled my mind with all the stories from the airmen, of how King becomes invincible to the enemy. Also all the pilots around him, they were all larger than life figures, they would take care of him…I still slept with an uneasy mind…
King
I woke up and Sarah was in the bathroom. I wore whatever was nearest to me and got out. I met Zyrus and Chinko while walking towards the mess hall…
“Hello King.” Both said.
“Hi Chinko, hi Zyrus.” I said.
“We’ve heard, BBB is going to fly out to meet Wolfpak.” Chinko said.
“It is true…I have heard Cookie_Aces and the 343 are moving to the Pacific…” I replied.
“We wish you good luck. These rumours are true. We will go soon.” Zyrus said.
“I guess this is our good byes for now…” I said.
“Well, actually, we are the cover fleet for your return!” Chinko said.
“That is great! I know we will be safe now.” I said excitedly.
“Yeah, then we are to fly for Japan after.” Zyrus said.
“Be sure to let the Allies remember who you guys are when you leave.” I said with a smile.
We said our farewells from there and the day passed slowly. Everyone was anxious. The tension was building. Everyone was confident, now the seeds of doubt were starting to get planted in our heads. I was talking with Bujias in the common room; we were all ready to fly out on the command.
“Hey King…give this letter to my mother…if you know.” Bujias said.
“Hey…don’t even think those thoughts.” I replied.
“Let’s get serious King, we have flown so many missions, we’re all lucky enough to not get killed.” Bujias said.
“Alright, fine. You have to take care of Sarah if I don’t come back.” I said as I took the letter.
“She will be fine, everyone takes care of her here.” Bujias said.
“Let’s get to our birds already I’m bored, we have to shoot as many of those wolves as we can so let’s prepare.” I said as I stood up.
“Let’s go!” Bujias replied.
We went to our magnificent machines, with 3B painted on the side. Sarah was waiting for us by the hangar. She watched as we inspected our machines. Finally, BK came out with the rest of the BigBadBoys and there was an air of power around them.
“Hey King…give me the pistol.” Sarah said.
“Yeah give that silly thing to her, your crazy for even carrying that.” Bujias joked.
“Fine…” I handed the pistol to her.
“Come back safely.” She said as she hugged me.
“Do I get anything?” Bujias asked.
“Bujias you are a good man, take care of King.” Sarah said as she kissed Bujias on the cheek.
Bujias flushed bright red, and was stunned. I laughed at his face. Bujias turned around and went straight to his plane after! I climbed into my plane and waved goodbye to Sarah as we took off.
We were in the air! It was refreshing to all the seriousness, and everyone else was relieved as well. We flew straight to North Soviet Union. Everyone was chatting it up on the radio, getting the fleet fired up for the fight. Then we spotted him. It was Pain! He held the record for fastest plane speed ever. He was their scout and we watched him shoot down an observation plane with ease! He broke for the clouds and all of us chased! Above the clouds we saw what was waiting. It was a mix of fleets! There were some Wolfpak told from their bright colours, some HammerDown as I saw the infamous Yager and Lance among them. And some surrounding planes, I presumed as novice pilots on a training run. We flew head long into the wall of planes.
It was total chaos in the air. I saw target after target, and shot rapidly not trying to get into a dogfight, as someone would surely shoot me down if I stopped for a moment. Leviathan, Cobra, Zapeta, BK, Bujias, and I were splitting the group of planes up into smaller groups. There we picked the Allies off more easily. I spotted Tootall going after Bujias! I quickly went behind him and shot a short burst. In this fight, there was no honour or glory, just cold-blooded killing. His plane was armoured quite well! His engine sputtered and he headed for the ground but I saw a parachute emerge. I looked for another opponent, but then saw Paragon, in that feared, golden spitfire! He was on Cool’s tail! I rushed over…but it was too late. A short flash of bullets, and Cool’s plane was spinning towards the ground, and thankfully crashed into the water, I did not know if he died or not, but he definitely had a better chance of surviving there than on crashing on land. I looked around once again, and we had definitely shot down many of them, but this gave room to more prominent fighters such as Paragon, Splashdown, Yager, and Lance to get into dogfights. There were also an entire of mob that followed these famous fleets, and BK made the right decision.
“Everyone back! They just have way too many planes…” BK said.
Everyone turned tail and started a weave pattern and flew back to our lines. There were some of us that were missing, but I did not have time to figure out whom because the Allies were tailing us furiously and started to land some shots on us, but nothing serious. Not a single person’s plane was undamaged. We were close to the lines, and then Yager shot up my engine!
“Damn it! Bujias get him off me I need to crash land!” I yelled.
“I got you covered.” Bujias replied.
Bujias slowly went into a dive after Yager and followed. I flew like a bird with a broken wing. Bujias kept firing at him, but he was brave and followed although he got hit a few times! Yager got away from Bujias and then lined me up for the kill…time slowed to a halt, and I knew there was no escape this time.
Then above us, another fleet came in! They came screaming in and split the Allies like an axe splitting wood. I was saved! I knew it was CA and did not look back. Yager now had to end his chase and flew back quickly to the rest of his fleet. I slowly descended to the ground, and crash-landed successfully. I got out and it was freezing cold. I waved Bujias off and he flew back to the base.
We had stood toe to toe with giants. I was disappointed about how the battle turned out. I knew both sides lost some men, but not too many to change the war. It was a loss for both sides, more for us, as the Allies replace men like throwing another log into the fire. It was then that i realized the impossibility of our task to defeat the Allies. I started walking back. BK, Bujias and Sarah met me some ways in a jeep and drove me back. At the base there was silence. No one talked of the fight that happened, they knew what was happening. The tide of war was changing, we felt it, we knew it, and the Allies simply outnumbered us to the point where skill can easily be trampled on by sheer force. I sat and realized we had no hope…everyone locked themselves in their rooms and Sarah didn’t say anything, it was the moment where silence meant everything and more…

King of the Skies - Chapter 7
Turkey shoot. I turned left and shot down a Soviet in a short, accurate burst, turned to my right, and shot down another bird gracefully. Then I looked in my rear mirror and saw a Soviet on my six having trouble aiming his sights. I rose high and rolled left so that I ended up behind him. Then mercilessly I poured lead into his fuselage, and his plane caught fire and exploded in mid air, the pilot bailed out of his plane…for me, there was no respect, skill wise towards the Soviet pilots. The Germans had started Operation Barbarossa against Russia and what was remaining of Revolution fleet was transferred there, although we were not much of a fleet now. What we lacked in numbers though, we more than enough made for in skill. The Soviets had no idea what hit them, their pilots were untrained, and their machines were worse.
I glanced around the sky, and saw that the rest of the Soviets were escaping, while only 2 of our planes had some sort of damage to them. Another easy mission complete. Air superiority was our duty during this time, and we had mixed fleets together due to the lack of pilots. Although this was very successful, it wouldn’t stay working for long in my opinion. When the Soviets fought, they fought in mass, in the air, land, or sea, numbers meant everything for them. Bujias then made a pass around and saw the pilot in the parachute, then shot holes into it, and the man screamed aloud falling to his death.
“Hey Bujias…how you doing?” I asked from the cockpit.
“I’m fine, why you asking?” He replied in question.
“No reason.” I said.
In reality, I was worrying heavily for my friend. Ever since GJF’s execution…he had turned into a madman in the sky. The Soviet’s feared him, as he had no mercy, like them, when GJF was executed. Every time a Soviet pilot ejected, Bujias would turn around and shoot him in cold blood. Everyone was shocked at first! I don’t think anyone has ever seen this from a German pilot. Even I couldn’t convince him to stop doing so after about the 5th victim. I couldn’t watch him; this was not the cheerful, light Bujias I knew.
We were celebrating almost everyday for a new ace, which was the good news! On the Eastern Front it was much too easy and a common thing now. Then we got sudden news from Zyrus.
“Hey everyone! Meet Samurai, he is from the Japanese, their heralded ace!” He boomed.
“Oh wow, what a surprise…” Everyone murmured.
“I would like to get to you know you all on a personal level.” Samurai said.
I largely ignored the quiet man, as I was with Sarah, and so did Bujias and BK. I didn’t want to disrespect him, so I invited the man into our common room.
“Hello, Samurai, I am happy to meet you.” I said while shaking his hand.
“Hi King, Bujias, and BK.” He replied and shook our hands respectively.
“How are you? Everyone being nice?” I asked.
“Ah yes, of course, German respect is high for others, although I have heard rumours of shooting bailers…” Samurai said.
Bujias stared at Samurai for a second, then ignored him. Samurai praised us for our various accomplishments. BK’s modified plane, which he had a lot of knowledge of surprisingly, this to which Bujias laughed out loud at. My rapidly increasing score total, which was getting close to his, and of Bujias…he said nothing. He left as Sarah entered, greeted her and kissed her hand. Sarah blushed and ran over quickly.
“What a gentleman, unlike some people…” Sarah said.
“I don’t like you, you don’t like me…that is fair enough, just don’t attack me.” Bujias said.
“I never said I didn’t like you Bujias!” She replied.
“What ever, I am going to go get a drink, you know where to find me.” Bujias said as he left the room towards the bar.
“Ignore him, he’s just being touchy…” BK said to Sarah
“I don’t understand him lately…he’s acting all weird.” Sarah said.
“Sarah, do me a favour and tell Samurai to talk with him at the bar.” BK asked.
“Uh…sure BK, I’ll do that now.” Sarah said, as she picked up that BK wanted to talk to me.
“Hey King…I’ve been promoted to captain…”BK said.
“Wow congrats, BK, so you leaving Revolution for your own fleet?” I asked.
“Yes…all the fleets have been flying mixed groups, but I want a unified team that can wipe the floor any time with the Allies…” He said.
“Something like an Allied Wolfpak?” I asked.
“Except better…I want you to be a part of it…my lieutenant, along with Bujias.” He said.
This came as a surprise; I had never been in another fleet but Revolution before. I told him I would think about it. I made my decision rather quickly, and then went to Lion to ask for a release, it was a hard thing to do to the quiet legend. He said he understood, and with sad eyes signed my release and Bujias’ as well.
“Thank you sir…you taught me a lot.” I said awkwardly.
“I’ve watched you grow King…you are strong now, smart, and rich in mind and soul.” Lion said.
“Thank you, sir.” I said, although I did not understand well.
“Call me friend now King…best of luck to you and Bujias.” Lion said.
My heart felt empty as I closed the door of Revolution and opened a new one with the name BigBadBoys on it. I entered the common room where I was to meet everyone. There I saw greats from every fleet. Zapeta, Fisherman, Cobra, Bujias, BK, and me were all in attendance. We shook hands and laughed and popped the champagne and stayed up late into the night…
I finally woke up extremely late. Then I saw Sarah talking with Chinko. I was surprised and then I smiled as Sarah made yet another friend on the Axis side.
“Hi Chinko.” I said.
“Oh…hello King.” Chinko replied.
“What brings you here? I thought you were grounded.” I said. That was the latest rumour, because the Luftwaffe without Chinko was like bird without wings.
“Ah…yes but Chinko will make an exception to that rule today. Morale is down.” Chinko said.
“Yes it is, well let us go flying if that is what you are here for.” I said with a smile.
Off we went, Chinko’s pink plane bright in the sky, while my dark FW190F following in the bright shadow. Leviathan soon joined us as he was in the area hunting, and we met him by chance in the air.
“Hey let’s find something to shoot already, I’m getting bored…” Leviathan said.
“Those Soviets are as good as shooting practice in the air.” I said to continue the conversation.
“Yes, Chinko tries to aim for the wings as Chinko pities for the untrained pilots…” Chinko said.
Then we spotted it. Another large group of Soviet planes. Safety in numbers wasn’t exactly working for the Soviets, but they still stuck to that motto. Chinko signalled the attack from high altitude. Leviathan and I kept up with the speeding legend. Then we broke off and rapidly shot our rockets into the crowd. A quick 6 victories for us! Then we flew right threw the formation, shooting and spinning our way through. By the time the Soviets knew what was happening 11 of them had been shot down! Leviathan and I were fairly close in the kill count department. When we looked over at Chinko, all we saw was the reason why she was called the witch of Germany, the legend soared around deflecting shots at impossible angles, climbing and falling at ridiculous rates, and amazingly was still conscious at the end of it. I couldn’t understand how someone could take on so much G-force. We watched as bystanders as a machine made a mewling wreck and embarrassment of the Soviets. What I felt was inspiration, to become better.
“Wow Chinko…I never flew with you before…thought they were exaggerating.” Leviathan laughed.
“Chinko tries, still a little rusty, but these Soviets…they must have started flying yesterday.” Chinko replied.
“Anyways…we are going to fly with that Samurai soon…heard he is as good as you Chinko, if he is, we would be unbeatable.” I said.
“Thank you for the complement King! Samurai is a brooding man, I have heard about his skill as well.” Chinko said.
“Can’t wait to fly out with you guys, there is an important mission tomorrow and I hope I get picked!” Leviathan said excitedly.
We got back to the base and went to the kitchen area. Zyrus met us there. We said our greetings and then got to business.
“Tomorrow in the morning we must fly out in secrecy, you three are to be there I hope, the Allies won’t know what hit them…” Zyrus said with a gleam in his eyes.
“Yes of course.” We all said.
Off we went to get a good night’s rest for the morning mission. I talked with Sarah about our days respectively. Sarah and I were going to sleep as it got late after our long talk... Suddenly, Bujias came in and fell on our bed between us arms spread on both of us! He smelled of alcohol and there was a dumb grin on his face.
“The strong shall not injure the weak…Samurai your one wise guy…” Bujias murmured.
We tried to wake him up, but he was out cold so we had to sleep all together. One small happy family…
I woke up beside Sarah and looked around to see that Bujias ended up on the floor somehow. I dressed and quietly crept out of the room without waking either. I met in the hangar with Leviathan (who was now in BigBadBoys as BK invited him the day before!), Zyrus, Chinko, Samurai, Kojiro, Vulf, TearsofGlass, and Butterpants. We all had proven track records. Also some rookie flyer out of academy was to come with us…his name was Silverstormz or something…
We quickly spotted some Soviet planes…but these were different, they had red banners on them! We shot off our rockets…but only one of them hit! I looked closely and saw that they flew in a weaving pattern! Chinko and Samurai quickly saw this, read the situation, and shot off two rockets that hit their mark. Then we broke off and it became a dogfight. We were more skilled in a quick analysis. The only difference was that these weren’t just normal Soviets, they flew much too well! Over time our skill proved valuable and we began to decimate them. I was flying much better than before as Chinko and Samurai inspired me. We won a decisive victory…but suddenly a new plane appeared and lined up Zyrus at a long distance! I looked in horror as I could do nothing…but then Samurai appeared and put his machine between the tracers and Zyrus’ machine. I was too surprised to hear the words Samurai said. I knew that he was mortally wounded though by Zyrus’ reaction. Zyrus flew beside his plane all the way to the ground where it crashed.
The squad flew back in silent respect despite the great victory. We parted ways without much words and I went back to my room. Sarah was taking a shower, but Bujias was still sleeping. I woke him up and told him of Samurai’s death. Bujias was shocked of course, but then I saw the spark in his eyes of when I first met him.
“He was a good man, I didn’t know him well…but he taught me much, Samurai was one man, but could inspire many, I've only seen one other person who could inspire everyone else, Chinko.” Bujias said seriously.
The whole airbase was silent and the Soviets were celebrating…not only for Samurai’s death, but also for the arrival of Wolfpak into North Soviet Union, to them they were gods among mortal men. Fate had put Paragon and me in the same skies yet again, I did not want to fight him, but I had feeling we were destined to. They thought the tide of war was changing…little did they know that the BigBadBoys were waiting for this moment.
NOTE: Sorry for the wait...that is all =D
